The DME Arc Simulator gives you the opportunity to fly your plane on a DME arc giving you the opportunity to perfect your technique and observe the effect of wind.direction and speed.
- Displays (from left to right) the distance to the station, the speed relative to the station and time to the station
- The radio buttons turn off the DME or select the station - 1 or 2. With this release, 1 or 2 selects the same station.
- Start arc / End arc - describe the starting and end point of the arc expressed clockwise from North (top of display).
- Radius - defines the radius of the arc in nautical miles.
- Show arc - shows or hides the arc depiction.
- Fly inbound - draws the "ending" leg of the arc either toward (inbound) the VOR or away from the VOR.
- Start arc / End arc - describe the starting and end point of the arc expressed clockwise from North (top of display).
- Arc clockwise - when checked the arc is clockwise; otherwise it is counter-clockwise.

- Press the "left" or "right" button to turn the plane in that direction.
- As long as you hold the button down, the plane's direction will change.
and red indicates the simulation is stopped. When pressed, the simulation will start. The plane's position will be calculated based on its speed, direction, bank, and the wind's direction and speed.
and green indicates the simulation is running. When pressed, the simulation will stop. The plane's position and heading will no longer change until it is started again. When a simulation is resumed, the plane will begin calculating its position from the point where it was stopped.
