VOR Holding Pattern Trainer

The VOR Holding Pattern Trainer allows you to set up different VOR holding patterns and practice identifying the type of entry for different plane locations. 

You can drag the plane to different positions around the VOR.  When you release the mouse button, the correct entry type will be displayed.

The Controls

• Drag 'n Release -  place the mouse over the white spot in the plane and press the left mouse button.  While holding the left mouse button down, drag the plane, and observe the changes in the instrumentation.
• Show "overlay" - when these checkboxes are checked, an overlay of recommended holding pattern entries are superimposed on the directional gyro and Holding Pattern.

• VOR Holding Trainer manager

• New plane location - randomly repositions the plane around the same hold and clearance.
• New hold - randomly creates a new hold and its clearance, and relocates the plane.
• Switch side - switch the side on which to hold and changes the clearance.
• Radial - manually sets the radial on which to hold and changes the clearance.

• Setup tab - the VOR Holding Pattern Setup gives you the ability to change the plane's type and number and the VOR's name.
