Purchase - downloading and installing

These instructions are for installing a Flight Trainer Product license key.

If you prefer to:

If you have already installed an Evaluation license key, please go directly to Installing the Flight Trainer.

The installation of the Flight Trainer consists of these steps:

  1. Downloading the Flight Trainer
  2. Installing the Flight Trainer
  3. Purchase the Flight Trainer
  4. Installing the Product License
  5. Using the Flight Trainer

Downloading  the Flight Trainer

The Flight Trainer requires that JVM v1.4 (Java Virtual Machine) or higher is installed on your computer.  Please follow this link to determine if you have the correct version.

Please click on this link for your download options. We recommend that you save it to your local disk and then install it.


 

Installing the Fight Trainer

After you download and save the Flight Trainer installer, double click on that file and the installer will guide you through the installation process.  After installing the software, the next step is to get your Host ID.

Obtaining your Host ID

When placing an order for the Flight Trainer, you will need to provide the Host ID in order to place an order and get the correct product license.  To install the Flight Trainer, please complete the following steps after downloading and installing the Flight Trainer:

  1. Start the Flight Trainer using Start Õ Flying Dynamics Õ Flight Trainer

    In the Current License pane, write down the Host ID for your computer (the one shown below is for the test computer!).


     
  2. Complete your order.  After you complete the order process, you will be sent by email the Product License for the features you purchased.
     

Installing your Product License

To install the Product license key, please follow these steps:

  1. If not already running, start the Flight Trainer using Start Õ Flying Dynamics Õ Flight Trainer
     
  2. In the Current License pane, verify that the Host ID agrees with license email. If HostID's  do not agree, please contact us at licensing@flyingdynamics.com
     
  3. If the Host ID agrees, press the Update button


     
  4. In the Registration dialog,enter your product license key and your name.  We recommended that you use copy&paste to copy the license key from the email sent to you and paste button in the Registration dialog to paste it into the "License Key" field.

     
     
  5. Press Register and you're off and running.

Using the Fight Trainer

Once you have successfully installed the Flight Trainer,  you can start the Flight Trainer using Start Õ Flying Dynamics Õ Flight Trainer.
